Glen Davis Oil Shale Works Ruins Special Tour.

These tours can be made at a time and day that is suitable to your visit to the valley.

Also if you have a dog and wish to see the ruins with the dog at your own risk, as we have wildlife on the property which may distract them.

Set in the peace and tranquillity of the Capertee Valley.

  • Find out about the history of Glen Davis Oil Shale works.

  • Photos are allowed, subject to area restrictions.

  • Please bring bottled water to drink.

  • Bring hat and sunscreen if hot weather expected.

  • Bring an umbrella and wear wet weather shoes, if rain is expected or fallen in the last week.

  • Wear warm clothing if cool weather is expected.

  • Tour is 2 hours, please bring child carrier and walking frame with seat, where applicable.

  • No dogs allowed, unless you book a private tour.

  • No toilet amenities, please use Glen Davis Campground before tour, if necessary.
